Penny has worked in a variety of educational settings for over 15 years with all age groups including teaching supply in secondary and in Further and Higher Education. She has a PGCE from the Institute of Education, training at Kingston College of Further and Higher Education, QTLS status, an enhanced DBS disclosure and is currently teaching Higher Education courses in Fine Art at both Grantham College and De Montfort University.

2006-2009 Freelance Gallery Educator/ Workshop leader at the City Gallery Leicester developing a wide range of workshops for a variety of audiences including a project with Eyres Monsell Primary School and Birth Talk Leicester. The Birth Talk project culminated in an exhibition of the participants work at LCB Depot, Leicester.
