'Gordon Brown abacus frottage drawing' 2009

This drawing was made by rubbing over the surface of an abacus with sandpaper onto a portrait of Gordon Brown who in 2009 was the Chancellor during the MP's expenses row. The holes created by the sandpaper were then filled with coloured loops of thread which correspond to the beads on the abacus.

'Character Building' 2010

This work was made by crumpling and then sanding an A0 poster advertising a beauty product. The image beneath reveals the price of £2.99 and shows a picture of Cheryl Cole. It has two sides and can be hung either way.
