I'm feeling a little sad today as my children have requested some of their pictures connected to my art practice be removed from my social media. Of course I will respect their wishes. I can only hope that as adults they may change their mind. There are so many artists I respect who have also used images of their children in their art. This has intensified the need to have a discussion within contemporary art practice and maternal subjectivity around the use of children and their images in arts practice. So many ethical questions and concerns.
